A step-by-step guide to sharing edit access

Individual QR codes

Step 1: Sign in with QRCodeChimp. Click on Dashboard.

Step 2: (The user must have a previously created digital business card QR code.)

Select the QR code and click the three dots (more options) corresponding to it.

Step 3: Click the ‘Share Edit Access’ option.

Step 4: When you click on the share edit access button, a pop-up will appear. Next, enter the email ID to which you want to share the access.

Step 5: Click the Share button. The recipient will receive the email when the user clicks the share button. You can add multiple email IDs to share edit access with numerous people.

(If you want to keep the edit access protected, make sure to keep the general access ‘Restricted’)

Step 6: The user will receive a link in the email to edit access. When they click the link for the first time, they must set their password. They will then be redirected to the edit page of their digital business card.

Tip: The user can bookmark the link received in the email to access it for the next time easily.

From the second time onwards, when they visit the link, they must enter the email address as their username and the password they had set for the first time.

Bulk QR codes

Step 1: Sign in with QRCodeChimp. Go to the digital business card generator page.

Step 2: Enable the ‘Bulk Upload’ option.

Step 3: Download the sample Excel file and fill out the mandatory details, i.e., QR name, Page Code, and Edit access email.

Step 4: Save the data file and upload it.

Step 5: As the data file is uploaded, you will see a pop-up – Validation Completed.

Then click on Upload. 

Step 6: Once the process is completed, a bulk entry will be created on the dashboard. Then, select the bulk QR code.

Step 7: Click on more options (3 dots). Next, click on the Share edit access option. Select the option primary or edit access option.

Step 8: Click on the Share button. The recipients will receive the email when the user clicks the share button. You can add multiple email IDs to share edit access with numerous people.

(For Bulk QR codes, the edit access will permanently be restricted)

Step 9: The user will receive a link in the email to edit access. When the user clicks on the link for the first time, they will be asked to set the password and then will be redirected to the edit page of the digital business card. 

Tip: Bookmark the link received in the email for easy access the next time.
