Basic, intermediate, and advanced analytics

At QRCodeChimp, we offer three types of analytics: basic, intermediate, and advanced, depending on your subscription. To check your current plan and analytics type, refer to the pricing

1️⃣ Basic analytics: This analytics displays the essential details, including the total number of QR codes and unique scans. It’s available to free-plan users.

2️⃣ Intermediate analytics:  In addition to all basic analytics features, intermediate analytics allows users to access ‘share analytics.’ Starter plan users can access the analytics.

3️⃣ Advanced analytics: Besides covering all the features in intermediate analytics, advanced analytics enable timeline analysis (month, day, and hour), top-performing QR codes, top locations, device and browser analysis, and geo analysis. Pro and above plan users get advanced analytics that provide in-depth information about QR code performance.

⏩ Total QR codes: Total number of dynamic QR codes and digital business cards used against the maximum limit.

⏩ Total scans: Total QR code scans in a defined time range. You can select a custom timeframe.

⏩ Unique scans: Total number of unique scans of all QR codes with a predefined timeframe.  

⏩ Timeline analysis: Total counts and unique scans across a specified time range. 

⏩ Top performing QR codes: A list of the most scanned QR codes with the total scan counts.

⏩ Top locations: A list of IP locations (city, country) of the most scanned QR codes with the respective counts. 

⏩ Hour-wise analysis: Breakdown of the total scan, including unique scan counts based on hours within a pre-determined timeframe. 

⏩ Day-wise analysis: A day-wise analysis of the scan performance with the scan counts. 

⏩ Device analysis: Displaying a pie-chart segmenting the share of operating systems (iPhone, Android, Linux, Windows, etc.) used for scanning QR codes.

⏩ Browser analysis: A pie chart representing the share of browsers (Apple Safari, Google Chrome, etc.) opened after scanning your QR code.

On QRCodeChimp, the QR code tracking process has two levels: account- and folder-level tracking. Let’s explore each option.

Method 1: Account-level tracking

QRCodeChimp allows you to track the scan performance of individual and bulk QR codes. Go to the Dashboard and find the QR code in the Individual or Bulk QR codes list. 

For individual QR codes, click on ‘View Scan Analytics’ of the QR code to view its analytics.

For bulk QR codes, navigate to ‘Go to Bulk QR Codes’ and select the file. Then click ‘View All’ and ‘View Scan Analytics’ of the individual file. 

For the overview QR code performance with a timeframe facility, click ‘Analytics’ on the Dashboard sidebar. You can set the preferred timeframe. 

Method 2: Folder-level tracking

QRCodeChimp allows you to track scan performance based on folders. To do so, go to the Dashboard and click ‘Folders’ in the sidebar. 

You can click ‘View Scan Analytics’ directly to view an overview of a folder’s QR code performance or click the ‘View Folder’ option to check the performance individually.

Let’s explore three key QRCodeChimp’s analytics features.

✅ Daily analytics report in email

You can receive a daily analytics report via email to stay updated on your QR code performance without logging into QRCodeChimp analytics each day. This feature is available for the PRO and above plan users. 

Here are the steps to enable daily/weekly analytics reports in email. 

Step 1: Go to Dashboard

Step 2: Find the Settings in the sidebar and click ‘Set Notifications.’

Step 3: Select a daily or weekly report and enable the toggle. Then, enter the email address that will receive the report.

✅ Analytics data sharing

You can also share analytics of a single QR code. Here are the steps: 

Step 1: Find the QR code in your dashboard and view its analytics.

Step 2: Turn on the “Share” toggle. Select the “Public” option and copy the displayed URL. You can now send the URL to people to share the QR code analytics.

Step 3: Select the “Restricted” option to restrict access. In this case, only the users with access can view the analytics.

Note: If the QR code belongs to a shared folder, users with access to the folder can view its analytics, irrespective of whether the share toggle is turned on or off.

✅ Export tracking data

Export tracking is available for the Ultimate and above plan users. Here are the steps to export tracking data:

To integrate QRCodeChimp with Google Analytics, you must first obtain your Google Analytics ID and paste the ID into QRCodeChimp’s tracking settings. 

Google Analytics provides advanced insights into pageviews, session durations, engagement rates, bounce rates, conversion rates, and more. 

Starter and above plan users can use tracking using Google Analytics, Google Re-targeting, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google Ads in your QRCodeChimp account to track the performance of your page-type QR codes.
